23 Patients , with NO previous prothrombotic medical condition, presented in 2 weeks some complications like thrombosis–blood clot and stroke after receiving the first dose of the vaccine (AstraZeneca). The main location of thrombosis was particularly at cerebral venous system and pulmonary embolism.

The patients were about 70% younger than 50 years and 61% were female and fit.

What happened then?

The Authors found out that such dramatic event was caused by antibodies "against blood platelet" ( PF4).

How to treat the patients who present with this rare syndrome?

Immediately anticoagulant agent and intravenous immune globulin need to be considered for the first occurrence within 48 to 72 hours of the symptoms like headaches, fevers, and muscle aches.
